The Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has invited applications for APEDA Export Award under various categories for the year 2019-20 & 2020-21.
The awards will be given for various product categories of APEDA, including floriculture & fresh plants, floriculture dried, fresh fruits, other fruits and vegetables, fruits and vegetable seeds, buffalo meat, sheep and goat meat, poultry, dairy, natural honey, fruit pulp, dehydrated products, frozen products, ready to eat including dried snacks, cereals preparations, confectionery and biscuits, pickles, chutney, jam, jelly, squash and juices, groundnuts, alcoholic beverages, guar gum, basmati rice, and non -basmati rice.
Further, awards will be given to best organic exporters, top most exporter from North Eastern Region (all agri products), top most exporter from J&K and Ladakh, for best packhouse, for best groundnut processing unit, for best integrated meat plant, and best farmer producer organisations/cooperative.
Besides, an award will be given to the best state for agri export policy implementation.
According to APEDA, the complete application should be sent along with all the supporting documents in a sealed cover superscribing ‘Export Award for (name of the category) during the period ( year)’ and addressed to APEDA New Delhi Headquarters on or before November 30, 2021.
The notice says that export performance of only APEDA Scheduled Products for the relevant business entities registered as one unit (not as a group of companies) should be submitted.
The notice issued by the APEDA also reads, “All registered exporters are requested to file their monthly export returns for the financial years 2019-20 (April 19 –March 20) and 2020-21 (April 20 – March 21) through online filing system using exporters’ login on Apeda’s website by 15th November 2021.”
Further, the notice added that the returns filed by the exporters will be verified for the purpose of selection of awardees.
The application along with relevant information received will be screened by an award selection committee constituted by APEDA while incomplete applications will be rejected.
